Finding C++ and Java Compilers?

Where can I download them from.

Java compilers are free and you could get it from www.sun.com ... the free C++ compiler that comes to my mind is djgpp http://www.delorie.com/djgpp/ , there may be others...

On a side note, I read your prev. note about game programming, and the compiler I suggested would be great for getting into game programming, you won't be able to do anything too fancy, but working in 2D will be a nice intro. There is a library called 'Allegro' for the compiler and is used to make 2D games... great stuff for an introduction into game programming.

need help in locating the javac compiler on my system. i downloaded the j2sdk software from java.sun.com. the download path was c:\j2sdk-1_4_1_01. when i try to compile the HelloWorldApp.java code from the java.sun tutorial a message says cannot find path. the path i used is c:\j2sdk-1_4_1_01\bin\javac HelloWorldApp.java. where on my system can i find the correct path to use?
