| Oodles of IE windows keep opening
Each time I click on an email link on a web page I get loads of IE windows opening. I found a link on symantec that mentioned this happening when launching Procomm Plus - but I don't have Procomm. Anyone know how I can stop this happening or where I can find info on how to fix it?
Thanks. |

Maybe get and install Opera, press F12, click "Refuse popup windows" and leave IE alone?

I'm using IE 5.5. It started about a month ago and then last week my laptop (networked) started too. I have Norton Internet Security and Anti Virus installed, live update and ran full virus checks. The only new installation is a scanner via usb port but I can't remember if the problem was prior to that or not.
Reinstalling IE was on my list but I would like to know what is causing it - will read more of your Opera thread too. |

This gator is hanging on in there. I have installed and run Ad-ware, rebooted machine. Still doing it. As far as I can tell it is the same on all email links on all web sites. Thank goodness for Alt f4! |
