Well, it should be easy enough to get into Windows to work with it - use Safe Mode. As your computer is booting up (before the windows loading screen comes on) you need to hit F8. I don't know exactly when you have to tap it, so I usually start fairly early in the boot process and keep tapping the button until the Safe Mode menu shows up. When it comes up, pick Safe Mode (I forget what the whole line is under XP) and that should get you into Windows.

Edit: Part 2 -- Then, for uninstalling the graphics card... well, that depends on what card you have. It would help if you'd post some specs. But for some general information: try deleting any display adapters from Device Manager. Or, you may not even need to uninstall the graphics card. You could just try reinstalling the software from the CD that came with the card.

Edit: Just saw you said you disabled both your display adapters. BIG mistake. DELETE them. If you delete them instead of just disabling, Windows should find them and start the install process automatically when you boot up again.

Yup, endobioticChaos has ya covered. After ya get to the screen to choose safe mode, you can also roll back to last known working config. It should be just like it was before the disabed thingy

Endo is right. Get into safe mode and it should recognize a proper display (if it doesnt just make it a basic plug and play monitor). I have had this happen on customer's systems who order a computer from say E-Machines but then when they try to set it up on their crappy old monitor. And as far as uninstalling your vid-card. I would try to uninstall the drivers from the control panel>Add/Remove Software. Your vid cards drivers SHOULD be listed under there (if they are nVidia it'll say nVidia display drivers or something to that effect.) Click on it and then uninstall em.

If you DO have an nVidia then you might want to try the detonator remover proggy. It'll remove all traces of the ref. drivers for nVidia cards so you can basically start from scratch. Again, all that is only if you have an nVidia card
YAH! I knew you'd be jealous

You said you disabled both of your display devices.

If your motherboard has onboard video pull the video card that you installed and clear the CMOS, this should bring back your onboard video when it sets your Bios to the default settings.

I hope that is what you meant.....................

    yes

yeah thats what I meant but I was hoping there was an easier way. if there isn't that is one major flaw. I hope virus designers don't go that way.
I was wondering if the system restore for windows had any hotkeys.
