Connect AOL to POP3 server

I need to know how to receive AOL mail through a pop3 server.
not that I have aol.

AOL is not designed to use pop3

I want to know a way around that.

If you want to receive AOL email without actually logging in with AOL software, just download and install Netscape 7.0. It will retrieve AOL email from the servers very nicely

I use it to keep up with my Packer buddies who are all on AOL, as I don't like using the aol.com website to get my mail.


BTW - Shouldn't this be in Apps and Operating Systems?

I have a question, since when do you need an aol email address to communicate with friends on aol? I email friends on aol and I'm on earthlink, plain old pop3 account.

I never said you needed a, aol email address.
I have a friend thats on aol, and doesn't like receiveing his mail
through aol. If you ever had aol, you would know why.

I have the AOL email addy from back in my AOL days, and it's piggybacked onto my brother's account. I don't want the aol.exe virus on my computer, so I use Netscape to access my AOL email

you guys should check out the new Peek e-mail only device i supports all Pop3 servers and tons of other ones to. its pretty cool
