Old K62-400 as print server/backup solution.

I'm looking for input on the use of an old K62-400 I've got as a print server and/or backup solution in my home network. As I head into the winter months and my free time becomes more available (I'm a golf course supt. ) , my quest to quench my comp. hobby thirst kicks in again!
Is it worth the effort to set such a machine up in a home network made up of 2 Duron 750's and 1 T-bird 1ghz.? I mean, not that I do a lot of network printing or notice too much slow down when I do, it's just something I want to do for fun. I also wouldn't mind setting up some kind of night time backup solution with the use of my network and multi drives on the old k62-400
What are some of your thoughts and practices?
I love this stuff !!!!

The backup solution would be very useful. It would be easy to schedule incremental nighttime backups of all your machines in case one of their drives dies. Since you don't print a lot, you could also make it the print server without much of a performance hit and get dual usage out of the machine.

Tahnks wyvrn.
My other question for now is the backup software to use. It seems to me that some of the disc imaging and/or backup software I've run across has to be run from DOS. Which really dosen't work to well under a network situation and/or automatic. If I had my hardware set up and ready to go what software solutions are there to- 1) Create disc image over network and 2) Set up incremental automatic backups without the use of DOS? I believe the disc imaging is going to be a problem over a network and thru Windows.

I'll probebly end up post this question in the appropriate catagory and do a search.

Now that I think of it, you could get a free copy of XXCopy , which is a more powerful version of xcopy. You could map the drive on your K62 as the X/Z/whatever drive and use xxcopy on each of your machines with the clone switch, or whatever parameters you like. See the discussion groups if you have questions.
