What is the best way to format a Hard Drive for a new install, the drive allready has information on it?

If it has information on it and you format you lose everything. So assuming you want to erase all on it, boot from a 98SE floppy and fdisk it and then do a full format with a /s switch to make the drive bootable.

Yeah - Vass is right. I don't manually format the drive unless I'm installing one of the DOS based Microsoft OS's. If I am installing one of those I use Shahani's directions.Where's Lunch?
