    Thumbs up I love mine

I have one and love it. My Nikon started taking blurry pictures, so I took it back to Sears and redeemed my $60 protection plan, for a C4000, and i am glad I did. It is auto anything, or manual anything. I love taking night shots, with the flash off. The auto apaeture(sp) takes wonderful pics. Have three friend who love theirs.
Love mine, Love mine. (ok a man using love, that means it's great)

Socalgal just picked up an Olympus D550Z, a little over $300, and I gotta say, it's pretty trick! 3 megapixels, and the optics are SCHWEEET!

I usually am not impressed with the "under $1000 digi cams " because of the optics---but this one is pretty impressive, I gotta say! Olympus started out as a glass lens grinding company, and when they branched out into cameras, they made very good SLR lenses--maybe they still do that?

Olympus cameras, SLR or digital, are excellent.

a family member has a Olympus C-3000 3.2 megapixel 3x zoom (6x w/ digital). Its awesome! Done very well for him. Just a note, the C-3020 has a panoramic feature that I kinda like. I don't know if the C-4000 has that. Over all, Olympus cameras are great!!

Bought the D550 Zoom on sale at Best Buy for $299.99.
Olympus has a free 64 MB card for the D550 and C-4000 cameras,
Olympus . Expires on 12/31/02, has to be from a authorized dealer.

Well my C-4000 is on the way, btw, there is a panoramic feature, you just have to use a Olynpus Flash Media because of the software on it ro somthing.
all these responses make these cams sound great.
    yay!

ya i knew that you needed to use the original card. something to do with the camera recognizing familiar points in different pictures in order to tie everything together.

i think you'll enjoy your new camera. good luck!

I have the older c2000 which has been a great camera and I am looking at buying an e-10 which is a 4 megapixel camera.
I really think that the Oly line is hard to beat.
