| Building A System
I have decide to build my own system...
So far I have these parts:
1) Chieftec Case w/ 450 watt Foxconn power supply
2) Audigy Sound Card
3) Cendyne 48X 12x 48 CDRW
4) Toshiba 16x DVD rom
Next week I plan on ordering the Gigabyte 7AXP motherboard with the AMD 2100 XP and 512 ram @ 333 kz.
I haven't decided on a video card, but I am leaning towards the ATI 9000 Radeon w/ 128MB. Speakers are something thats up in the air too. Also should I get a DVD burner?
AS far as a monitor I'll probably get a NEC or Viewsonic 17".
I wouls appreciate any comments or suggestions. Thanks!! |

i have to agree, dvd burner is over priced. I'd wait. When the price drops, you can go pick one up then. Also, how money are you willing to spend on speakers? |

I am willing to spend up to $150.00 for the speakers... I was looking at the Creative 5300 Series(5.1) but it looks like they have been discontinued and the ones remaining are at an outrageous price online.
Almost forgot I also purchased a Maxtor 80 gig hard drive (7200) |

well, you can get klipsch 4.1 pro media speaker (refurbished) for $149.99 at http://store.klipsch.com/details.asp?ProdID=35
But i warn to be carefull with these speakers, there is a chance that your windows may break, or cracks in the wall, or stuff falling off shelves. Very powerful, and great sound. |
