Why do you have to run WinXP Pro with a ADSL Router DHCP Server.
The reason I ask is that recently I setup a small network with 2 XP Home systems sharing a ADSL connection with a WIN98 PC and a NT server and three months later the two new machines lost their connection to the network. A friend techie gave the machines static IP's and that fixed the prob for awhile and mentions that I needed WIN XP Pro. I read a little about how a DHCP sServer issues dynamic IP's.
What is the difference between XP Pro and Home that makes Pro work and Home not work?
