me and wood were just talking about the thermalright slk-800 on another thread. I HIGHLY reccomend it. Keeps my AMD ice cold. It's a big sucker, but well worth it.

I'm a slow typist so you have to bear with me here.
Epox IMO makes a good board.
Sorry, don't know who told you about problems with VIA because i've not had aproblem with any VIA euipped boards.
I'll see if I can can come up with a faster CD-RW for less, it's sunday so i have to go look at the ad's (and make some more coffee).
AND I know Wizzard is kidding about the duct tape.

He's not kidding about the duct tape. quick story:
had this computer that was crammed full. needed another HDD for my server. Couldnt figure out how to do it, so I just cut a hole in the side of the case and duct taped the new HDD to the outside.
Granted this is not a practice i reccomend but it got the job done and I still use the HDD in another computer today.
Duct tape can be used for anything! |

You have to get a fan, one of the nice things about Thermalright is you can put whatever fan on it you like (depending on your needs. When I bought the SK-6 I had to do a lot of searching to find a retailer that would sell me the fan I wanted (quieter). Thankfully that has chaged. I bought a delta that is 38db versus the one that is 60+db. I can't OC as much but it is a lot quieter.
Heres where to get the CPU Retail, http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...alue=4159,3902
It's a few dollars more but i've never dealt with googlegear so I would go newegg personally.
Of to find some deals.
