| Best $150 Inkjet Printer?
I will be purchasing a new printer within the next week and I need some input. I would like to stay in the $150 range. I have been eyeing the HP Deskjet 5550 or the Epson C82. Any recommendations?
Thanks... |

| Noooooooo I've researched printers for the last 5 years nonstop.
The BEST printer money can buy for sub $150 is the Canon S750
at www.staples.com
or get the just as good Canon S520 at the Gateway store for $95 shipped free.
It's almost as fast and very cheap to operate as is the 750 |

Side note;
The Canon Carts fit both the S520 & S750, they are available at Staples for super cheap.
" Canon S500, S520, S630, S630N. S750 "
A 3-color pkg for $20.59 item # 480154
A black single for $11.32 item # 480153 http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Match...+S630N%2E+S750
I'm pretty sure this link will only take you to Staples main page. |

I am a chemist specializing in inkjet colorants. We do a lot of testing with printers. The Canon S750 is hands down the best printer for your budget. I am speaking objectively, as we have performed optical density, light fastness, and image quality tests with this printer. When printing on photo paper, it is virtually impossible to distinguish between the S750 inkjet printer and a professional silver halide print. |

Good to have you George.
Do you have any input as to the lightfastness of the Kodak Glossy Paper ?
The specs call for 25 year when using Canon's Glossy Photo Pro paper.
The Kodak 58# Glossy is available at Sam's Club for $20 /75 sheet package. |

Is the S820 the next model up from the S750? I see the S820 can be had for $95 on Ebay. |
