| How do i find my dvd's maker without undoing my computer
I would like to figure out what maker my dvd player is. How would i do that without opening up my case? |

I did, all it says is ATAPI DVD-ROM 16x
Nice choice, downstairs i bought a lite-on 16x dvd for my step dad for his computer. Looks good. |

I have an app at home, don't remember what it is, but it will tell you what you need to know.
I'll post it later if you don't find something sooner.

Select from the 'System Summary' tree. Should tell you.
Another good source of info is dxdiag. Type it into the 'Run' Box.
All sorts of good guff there.
