HP 5L invisible paper jam
I have an HP 5L extra Laserjet (home use) that has done me well for several years. A couple days ago it developed a paper jam. Following the instructions (as I have done in the past), I released the pressure roller, removed the toner cart and pulled on the paper that was half way in. Ooops...it tore. Now I can't get it...can't see it...but the paper jam indicator says "jam" and won't work. I tried the manual test button which should force another paper in but that doesn't work.
I can't see where the jam is. Has anyone gone an additional step in disassembly to reach the drum?
I really want to get this dude back on line. And they don't make 'em anymore.

Hey - had a similar problem with my 5L here at work. Can you flip the printer, and see if you can see the other end from the top of paper feeder tray? A long set of Needlenose pliers saved thae day for us. Just watch it, because if you mess with stuff, things can get broken really quick (bad experiences here). Also - check HP's site, I have gone to their forums for user-support and it was been a great experience for me - very helpful. Good luck!

HP5L Paper Jam in Output section
I have the same problem. I had a some dirt fall into the printer causing paper jams and now every new page has a periodic depression on the paper, indicating some debris on the outsection roller, but like the person below, I don't know how to disassemble te output section without destroying anything, to clean the debris out.
