I've used it before in some soc370 builds. It's dirt cheap and won't overclock if you beg it. It's good for the average user (whatever that means).

If I was gonna spend money on RDRAM, I'd get the good stuff. That's just me though. You might wanna ask them who makes the chips and the boards and if it's a reputable company, go for it.

yea..good point..but i was trying to go for cheapest..on a budget..here...and i really need it...all i might just do is cancel the order..and get it from a better vendor |

I have used generic ram heaps of times, sometimes the generic ram you get is samsung which is pretty good ram anyways |

I've bought generic ram lots of times. USUALLY it works out OK. The last two times I bought it it didn't  . They were two sticks of 512MB PC133 from Fry's. I just returned them and bought some from Crucial (using the link from techimo, of course  !) |

newegg.com has cheap ram...
had to plug the site that hooked me up with my from-scratch machines...easy to navigate, and they deliver often within 2 business days. have not had a financial beef with them...they're rated with BBB.
good prices. they maintain a competitive edge in the market.
not sure about ram, but tigerdirect.com has cheap parts too.
