Actually, my Dad gave me his machine to see what I could do with it and I decided to scrap it and give him a new one instead. He doesn't know it yet, I'll give it to him tomorrow.
Specs (Email and surfing pretty much)
K7SOM+ (installed Duron 1400+ w/ hs/f) $110
Maxtor 30g 7200 $49
256 PC2100 Samsung $66
PCTEL 56k v.90 fax/modem $15
Mitsumi 48x cdrw $57
Mitsumi FDD $12
320w Cybercase $35
Total $344
Formatting now.
He had a Gateway G6 - 400c that was trashed.
What do you think for a system bought on spur of the moment at a local store? It took me 45 min to build and start formatting.
I bought it Here
Pretty good prices locally.
Wish me luck! |

I believe it's basically a 950 Duron. It comes on the ECS K7SOM+ installed. You can look it up in the Products section of CompDepot

Hmm it must be a Athlon XP 1400+ because I don't think AMD uses that PR rating system for the Duron line. CompDepot description |
