residual charge in my PSU?
so ive been having this problem for a while with my system, my kt4 ultra gets stuck on the memory detection test... but whenever i would flip the switch on the back of my psu, it would start up again, but if it restarted the system, it locks up again. this is the second psu i have tried and gotten the same problem.. the psu is an Enermax EG365P-VE. does that seem right, some kind of left over charge that keeps tweakin my board when it starts, cuz i got the mobo bench tested, and its perfectly fine. the tech couldnt think of anything wrong but some kind of power issue

'Restarted' might mean many things..... I could get confused by such terms.
Cut the AC power to the system, by unplugging the power supply, then plug the power supply back in, press the cases power button. What happens?Last edited by dunbar; February 27th, 2003 at 12:19 PM.
