Monitor and performance problem?

I just set up a dual-monitor rig and was having the following problem:

Using two monitors, my system seems noticably slower. Is this common for this type of setup.

19" and 17" monitors
P4 2.53
512 PC2700
Ti4200s 128mb

Thanks in advance,
John

I wouldn't think it would. Are you using the latest "nView"/drivers?

I also just read that the 128MB 's' version has a lower clock speed than it's counterpart 64MB version. 222MHz compared to 250MHz. Interesting.

What brand is yours?

Using 41.09

My GF4 is a Ti4200s <----- (250MHz clock speed)

Just a thought---- I didn't reboot after setting up the monitors w/ the nView wizard. Maybe that's the problem.

I have also thought of another thing: The card has to support two displays, (which must be taxing on the system), especially when I am playing UT2003 on one screen, and running IE6, Outlook express, and IM on the other.

When I get home from work, I'll try it using only one display and see what happens...

I was referring to the memory, not core.
