Ok funky question here.........If I buy a pci dvd decoder card, or some other product, would it be possible to run dvds on my other pc, a 333mhz P2 with 96 mb of ram? Just wondering
You will still need a DVD-ROM or DVD-RW. A DVD decoder card is just what you need to play the DVD's like I assume you already have some DVD-ROM because you said my "other" computer. To use a DVD-ROM to view DVD's you need decoder software like PowerDVD or a hardware DVD decoder. Anyway you still need a DVD-ROM. You just need a software or hardware DVD decoder so your computer can decipher the DVD's.
yeah I got a dvd drive. the reason i asked all this stuff is because the dvds won't play nicely at all just using software like WINDVD on that system, a hardware decoder card would enable me to watch them a lot better. Correct?
