CRTL ALT DELETE, and delet every process (just not the Windows ones) then try it again, else rename the folder and delete it, rename the file and delete, or get a free anti virus proggy, it looks like a dialer or something else.

try disabling nortons' auto protect or any virus tool you can. Use the right-click method. Make sure you're current on your virus updates, too.
Let us know how it turns out! |

worst case scenario, you should be able to boot to the recovery console and delete it from there... |

i donnu sorry but what about downloading a free regcleaner and delete everything suspecious in the autostart (you can do that with: START -> RUN -> msconfig (doesnt work in 2k))
and then you should be able to delete it because it's not in use!

This is a bit confusing but I have heard of this problem before...
(1) Remove everything from the folder that contains the offending file that you want to keep and place them in a back-up folder.
(2) Move the old folder and the offending file to the root directory of C:
(3) Delete the folder and the file will be gone.
The secret here is that the file name is too long and windows doesn't recognize it as a valid folder.
Hope this works for you. |
