pcimia card still not funtioning

hey i formatted my laptop (dell latitude p2 400) because when i overwrote win98 with winxp it stopped working. i thought the drivers just got mixed up and decided to format, but the piece of crap still isnt working, it tells me in device manager that the device wont start code 10... any ideas ?? (btw thanks alot guys who helped me with the formatting

have you tried booting into safe mode? I'm assuming you can get to windows, you're just not ale to get whatever you have in the pci slot to work, right? What's the card?

Have you got PCMCIA support enabled? What is the model of the card?

I had this same problem too. I had to go to device manager and click the pcmcia device that i was installing( in my case a modem) then i had to click the resources tab and manually configure the irq and stuff.

hey guys sorry for the late reply got caught up in my atuf but i just! got it to work, i took it out of standby and it works :S:S??? lol well its good enuf for me thanks for all your help guys it means alot to me
