Is this normal? Share/Not share option
I always have my HDs set to 'Do not share.' But whenever I reboot, it switches to share. Is this normal? Can I permanently change it somehow?

It's the default administrative shares that I can't remember if you can turn off or not. If you can turn them off, it's a registry hack, but I want to say you can't turn them off.
I wouldn't worry about it as long as you actually have a password for your account and so does the administrator account. Some people are like slinky's. They really have no usefull purpose, but they can bring a smile to your face when you push them down stairs.

I'm the administrator and I always log in as it. So I should be able to make it so it's not shared ever. I just don't know where to look for option like that.

You might be the adminstrator, doesn't mean Microsoft thinks you should turn it off.
Default admin shares are "Hard drive letter"$; so if you have one drive/one partition it would be C$. Plus there the ADMIN$ share (whch points to the %system% folder) and the IPC$ share which is the remote ipc connection.
Do some google searching and see if you can find anything on turning them off. Some people are like slinky's. They really have no usefull purpose, but they can bring a smile to your face when you push them down stairs.

It is doable and it's a registry hack.

Thanks. At least I know it's normal and not some kind of virus.
