| get this error, "res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg"
Hey, I just came back from a business trip and all of a sudden I can not print to my HP Deskjet 610c printer any time I want to print something off the web.
I get this error, "res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg". It's a script error, and the dialog box end with a question that asks if I want to run scripts on IE.
Yet WindowsXP (Outlook Express 6) will not let me print anything to my printer. I can print anything else just fine, but not from IE....
Any thoughts? |

The only thing I found with that error code can be found HERE. Might be worth a look.

Hey, do you not have any comments or feedback in relation to what Xeroid suggested? A "Thank you!" for the suggestion and the welcome might be a good place to start.

I suggest reinstalling your printer drivers and ie6... If it was working fine before this should fix the problem. It may seem obvious but, probably your answer.

| Just recovered from same problem
for me the message was in Dutch but it came down to me editing my frames script for it to work.
my message (translated ofcourse): An error has occurred in the script on this page
Line: 1387
Sign: 1
Error: Object required
Code: 0
URL: res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\shdolc.dll/preview.dlg
Since this happened on only my documentation system (worked everywhere but there) lead me to believe there was an error in my primary frames script. Closer inspection thereof revealed an easily missed "missing </frameset> tag".
Inserting the missing close tag did the trick.
Good luck |

This worked for me hope it works for you.CAUSE
This behavior occurs if the Ole32.dll file that is located in the %Windir%\System32 folder is not registered correctly in the registry.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, register the Ole32.dll file. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, click Run, type the following command in the Open box, and then click OK:
Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\Ole32.dll
2. In the RegSvr32 dialog box, click OK. |

| Fix for Ole32.dll registration error
Bazza,
Thanks for the fix, it worked straight away. I have tried many times to fix this problem. Microsoft technical support didn't work, other suggested fixes were very complicated and didn't work. This did - brilliant. Thanks to you and the Techimo forum, which I have now subscribed to. |

I had the same problem with Outlook 2003 and HP G85 Printer.
The solution indicated by bazza777 really worked!
Thank you. |
