POP UPS!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure what I did, but recently I have been getting tons of pop ups!!! I don't remember changing any IE settings, and I hardly (if ever) got any pop ups. Now I get them all the time. No matter what site I go to! I tried Pop-Up stopper but then I can't click on any hyperlinks. It stops me. It's like they are dead. Anyone have a good program that could help me out.

I think you can configure pop up stopper or hold down the cntrl button when you click a link to open the link(can't remember exactly). Unless you are absolutely dead set on using only IE there are other browsers that have great pop up stoppers built in. All of the links still work fine and everything then...maybe give another browser a shot? I use Netscape and it works great...neve had a pop up get through yet and I can still click links to open them.

OS is XP Pro... dunno if messenger is enable or not. I don't think it is. I think I disabled it through the registry at one point.

Try spybot search and destroy, it is a pretty good program for detecting stuff like this.
