its not a card you connect to the console it is a ethernet bridge that connects to the back and it well make ne thing connect to the wireless network like a printer, game console, and laptop. it has that connection you know that come from your cable modem that goes to that port i forgot what it is called but its not usb.

okay so your trying to play xbox online.... with the wireless internet?

the xbox does not have a wireless card built in, and i dont believe they make one for the xbox.

now reading your post over are you trying to put a wireless card on the winxp box and then connet the xbox to the winxp to get internet?

sorry i think im alittle confused.

okay i see what your trying to do now.

here is your problem

to have a wireless connection you have to have two things. a sender and a reciever.

you have two items for a wireless network to work properly.

right now you only have the sender. you need the item to recieve the communication.

a normal setup of a hard wire lan

modem-router-pc-pc-pc

a wireless network is different

modem-wireless router-pc -wireless pc

a better picture is this

do you have an access point or wireless router? without an accesspoint or wirless router you will not get the SSID or an IP address.
