Convert DVD to MPEG or .MOV?
How do I convert a DVD to MPEG or .mov files? Is there freeware or shareware that will do this?
Thanks,

I find doom9.net is a good source for information. Check it out.

You can convert DVDs to MPEG or AVI files using DVDx.

DVDx is the fastest and easiest solution I've found to converting DVDs to MPEGs or AVIs.
BTW, if you are converting to AVI remember to use some sort of compression codec. (Ex. DivX)

You can also use any of the shareware/freeware dvd rippers available all over. Do a search on google for DVD Ripper and you'll get some nice links.
(PS-Sorry for abrupt end to yesterday's call. I think your phone had a lot of static.)

If you want to copy a DVD movie to a regular CD, here's a link to download an utility free.

Of ocurse, there will be some loss of quality since output will be an avi file.

no problem. With mine, 560 Ti's in SLI, I don't get much GPU usage with internet, they'll heat up to maybe 40-45C, 50 if the room is warm, with GPU acceleration in the browser. otherwise mine...
SLI problem? :(
