Techno Music Creation
I've heard of people "making" techno music using solely their computer.
Does anyone know what the best software would be to do this?
Thanks.

I used to use a program called MTV music Generator. It was pretty n00bish, but worked great for quick song writing, lots of loops built in. For a nice free one, I use skaleTracker. It works great with my MIDI controller. Fruity Loops is a good suggestion, ACID from Sony rocks. As far as an all-in-one, use one program to make the tacks and loops and stitch it together, then use a mastering program like Sound Forge to do some of the special effects when its been exported. At least thats how I hammer out tracks.

Music on the Computer
I found this cool site a while back. You can make all your music online using your computer. It's at www.jamstudio.com. They have all the guitars, bass, drums, piano all online. And it's free! I think they have a paid version, but I use the free one. Check it out.

Old Thread, but yeah Fruity Loops, or as its known now, FL Studio, is a good choice, have that, have played with it a bit, though I need to get a nice USB/Midi keyboard or controller to make some tracks with...
I used to use MTV's Music Generator in the beginning also, but got bored with it, & lost interest, moved on to the eJay products Techno eJay, Rave eJay, Hip Hop eJay, Dance eJay 2, etc... those were FAR better than MTV's product, much more "professional" that what Music Generator was, but still sort of a noobish product, but even still wasn't too bad...
link to their site, they still make products for the series: http://www.ejay.com/
another one I've tried was Magix Dance Maker, sort of Noobish, but a little more complicated with much more options than some of the early eJay products...

Satan working at McDonald's is pretty funny. Something good to pass the time between class.
