I've always had a good rate of success with the Pioneer offerings (I think the latest is the 106)
They're not the cheapest, but they won't skin you either.
Also, depends on which format you're looking for (+ or - etc)
Hope to helpLoosername

Can't help you with the Lite-on stuff, but just a quick thought. The '+' media tends to be a little more pricey than the '-', it really depends how much throughput it's going to get!
Just a thought...Loosername

I was trying to be clever! I really meant it depends how much you use it, as to whether it's worth paying the extra for a '-'.
The difference in media tends to be pence, but if you're opening a film factory, it'll make quite a difference! - Know what I mean!?Loosername

Hi
well I need it for semi to very important data so if its more reliable I'll probably go with "+"
Thanks

Hmms, I can't vouch for the reliability of either format over the other! I've never had a problem with either, but I'm not storing valuable info...
Anyone else got a specific view/experience?Loosername

I have a NEC ND1300A. Does DVD +/- R/RW - Very pleased with it. Yes, its worth going for both formats.
+ = better for DVD Authoring
- = better support on set-top DVD Players.
I have a friend who is very pleased with the Sony which also supports both plus and minus formats.
NEC is well priced and the Sony is also (suprisingly)

Hi
well Id go with the +/- but I dont know about that priced thing, they seem expensive to me, I actually dont have money for a dvd burner but when I saw the + selling for 150 I thought I might stretch it somehow
