Hi
I will recommend VOLCANO 6Cu with FAN Speed 4550±10% RPM which considered not in the noisy level ..
Personally i use Taisol CGK760092 with my 1600+ CPU (OCed to 150 FSB )and i'm getting great results ...
Remember to avoid using the thermal pad that placed by default on the HS base .. use Artic Silver or thermal paste instead ...
Regards and Welcom at TechIMO
<EDIT> WELCOM E ...aarrggghh.. spelling

| I know what ya mean. I just go to SysOpt now to answer threads that have been there for days with 0 replies. SysOpt used to be like this place though. And no more than a few months ago..... |

| Welcome to TechIMO
I'm getting many of my problems answered here faster. A place with a whole lot of wealth of knowledge and stuff. . There is always plenty to learn here, especially for beginners like me. I too moved out of sysopt when sysopt lost the best of the guys. |

You guys missed me right?
The volcano 6cu will do fine. My friend has it running in a 1.4ghz system and it is fine. The AMd 1600+ runs cooler so you have nothing to worry about. Also i have one sitting in front of me. Going to make my own 1.4ghz system.
