Installing Win 98
I have a laptop that I want to install Win 98, but Win 98 won't let me do that over Win 95. Any suggestions? Do I need Win 98 upgrade rather than Win 98?

Yes, However you can make a bootable disk with "format" and your CD device drivers on it. Boot to a dos prompt, format hard drive, and then install 98

When you say bootable disk, are you referring to " fdisk" ?

No not at all! format a floppy as in A: /s This places your system files on the floppy. make sure your new floppy contains ms-dos.sys, IO.sys, and command.com. Boot your machine using this floppy. Also make sure machine has ability to boot from floppy. If it doesn't you will need to modify your config.sys and auto exec.bat to load the cd drive.
