    My 3dMark03 score is abysmal...

    I got a 1447.
Kind of makes me sad when I see the top 20 scores. lol
Oh well, it's just time for upgrades.

    Currently my specs are...

    Mobo: Gigabyte GA-7VRX
    Processor: AMD Athlon XP 1800 @ 1540mhz
    RAM: (1)512MB 2700 Crucial
    (1)256MB 2700 Samsung
    Video Card: Geforce4 Ti4200 128MB (Aopen)
Sound Card: Creative Labs Audigy Gamer
    Harddrive: Maxtor 80gig 7200RPM
    OS: Windows XP Pro

Had a little trouble with the new crucial ram. Seemed like it didn't work together with the Samsung w/o crashing. Tweaked the bios a little and it seemed to work.

I plan on upgrading my system to
    ASUS A7N8X Deluxe
    AMD Athlon XP 2500+ "Barton"
    ATI Radeon 9600XT 128MB.

EDIT: Forgot link to my score.

The ge4 is a DX8 card, so it wont do that well in 3d03.
    Good job, friend-of-friends!

Yeah, sorry to say but that card is a joke in 03. A 9600SE or FX5200 Ultra will do better. But you should take joy that in 01 and acctual games your card will kick those cards's ass.

ewwwww on the FX5200.... and the 9600SE.....

Sapphire 9600 Pro or Non Pro (not the SE version)
    Sapphire 9800 Non Pro

Or go with ATI 9600 Pro/Non Pro, 9800 Pro, Non Pro

    FX cards are performing terribly....
