Actually the stereo effect is how we perceive distance as well. Perspective and three dimensional vision are achieved by comparing the same image from slightly separated points of view.

well my guess was wrong... o well....

the "golden mean" is also the same reason that they are making wide screen movies and tvs right?

and also, isnt that because our eyes are horozontally in line?
each eye sees a circle, these circles overlap, and the resulting image can be viewed as somewhat of a deformed oval. widescreens are supposed to recreate the natural ratio of x to y that our eyes see. think about it, you can move your finger far one direction so only one eye can see it, or far the other direction so only the other eye can see it. vertically, the eyes are bound by the same restraints..

00 = (___)
eyes = vision

Nice reasoning Butch81385

If memory serves the Golden Mean is the ratio of 1 to 1.6 (approximately) (the 1.6 is an infinite number like pi)

Try this for fun take any number and multiple it by 1.6.
the results are Interesting........?
For example using 3 the result is 4.8.
Sound familiar?
Photo print at 3x5 maybe 3x5 file cards?
