    emulator help needed

I am new to using game emulators and have some questions. First I have found on overnet a emulator that says it does xbox, playstation2, playstation1, dreamcast, and gamecube. The file name is Bleem2 de luxe and it is 711 megs in size, is this a real emulator? Does it do what it says? and didn't Bleem go out of business before the release of xbox and playstation 2? Also I am currently using epsxe160 and I have no sound what's wrong? For the n64 and other cartrige system emulators how do you get the game images to your pc or were can you download them?
I know alot of questions but help would be apreciated thanks

NO it is moste likely not what it says. The most damning evidence is the fact that gamecube and PS2 don't have emulators yet and probly wont for a long time.

This forum is the wrong place to ask about help for emulators as using emulators are not legal for systems and games that are trade marked.

having an emulator or a rom (game) is not illegal, so long as you own the original system and the original game. It's just one way of backing up your property.

as for the claims of the emulator you DL'ed, so far as I know there are no emulators for PS2, XBOX, and Gamecube. If you are looking for certain games, do a google on the rom for the system you want. keep in mind it is illegal to keep a rom on your computer for longer than 24 hrs. if you do not own a copy of the game.

It is funny that you should say that since the way I found this forum was a google search on emulators and this link popped up on the top of the list http://www.techimo.com/forum/t75415.html So I assume since this post is still on this forum this is not the wrong place to post about emulators. Also I would like to know if you have a cartridge game how do you get the rom to pc? I have several old cartridge systems and I just hate having them in the way and having to change around wires to play them so emulators are the best option for me. Also thanks for the heads up on the emu I asked about but since I already have half downloaded I will let it finish and see what it is ( but only after a virus scan on the folder it is downloading to). If it works I will let you all know.

So there's no confusion, I'm in the process of finding out wether or not an "emulator" is indeed legal/illegal. For now, this thread and any others that deal with "emulator" will remain open.

I have found this from Nintendo, and it basically says "emulator" and "ROMs" are ILLEGAL. Since you made mention of Gamecube in your post, this thread is going to be closed. I will also take the time to find out about other manufacturer's views on "emulator" and "ROMs" and post accordingly.
