Easier way to remove background?
Is there a easier way to remove all the background of a screenshot as opposed to using the paintbrush and carefully going around the edges? So darn time consuming.
Here is Screen for reference. Looks terrible due to the changing to .gif format.

I would use the polygonal laso tool, its still a bit time consuming but you get the best results.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to do. I normally use the paintbrush to color around the player (using a bright color) then I select all/Invert/Copy and then paste onto a new transparant background.
Just trying to figure out a less time consuming way.

If I am unable to find a faster way, I may change to this way.

yah get photoshop! lol u can download a free trial from download.com I will try to take out the player real fast but I am trying to do homework and I have to leave in 9 minutes

BTW to cut out that player only took about 2 min, so it would be the same cuz I would just hit select inverse and cut that and then I would be done, hold on posting in about a min or soDr. Cox -Newbie, Stay. Oohhh what a good boy you are, Newbie..... DEAR GOD JUDY HOW MUCH PRODUCT DO YOU USE?

Because it always cut chunks out of the players.
I am still a novice on Photoshop, so I don't know all the in's and outs of using it. Teaching myself without any manuals and such.

Don't ever cut or delete on your image. Use Layer Masks.
