Free or shareware photo editing software

Is there any good photo editing programs available to download as freeware or shareware?

    Thanks a ton!

well, you have to compile it, somehow i think you got the linux version....

go to downloads and get the windows version.

    when you do get this:

    http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/

it should explain how to do it from there.

Irfanview is great, it's my most used image viewer. But it's not a photo editor.

I basically just want to change the hue and sharpness/blur and such things on some photos I have.

Well, in that case give Irfanview a try. It can do basic stuff like that.
