| Creating a PSP brush
Hi
To create a Brush in PS
Open or create an image - PSP, JPEG etc
Make sure the layer you are working with is a layer not index or background (may have to change mode from the menu bar drop-down: Image>Mode>RGB)
Edit>Define Brush Preset
Name the brush
Go play!
Have fun

Thanks about my gallery too! | I'm not new at making brushes, I use adobe photoshop cs3 extended to create brushes.
First thing you do is open a new file, size 120 x 120, the brush can be rezied later to fit you needs. there are a few ways, here is one way I use. Follow the steps below.
1 open a new file, we'll use a 120 x120. you can change the cavas size to fit your image.
2 just as an example, try using a brush from the photoshop program, resize if needed
3 you can change the colors of the brush if you like.
4 from the edit drop down you will see, deffine brush preset. select it, now your done and you now have a new brush.
now this method is using the all ready preset brushes.
creating brush from scratch
this method is a bit longer, but it makes any image or photo into a brush.
1 lets say you have a picture abd you want just a single image from it to make into a brush, with colors of the image or you can use, patterns, solid colors.
2 you will need to use the quick selection tool in photoshop. now minimize the original and open a new file as when you was doing in the first method. paste the cut image, you may have to resize your canvas, remember if the image is to large you can always resize when it's time to use the brush.
3 ok goto edit, select define brush preset, now you have a colored bruch. remember to select no when you close your original image file, this way you will not change what can't be fixed.
Good luck!
ps: of course you will need a photoshop cs3 program, and know a bit about it's power and magic it has to offer. |
