Need useful references for budding photographer!
Well next week is my birthday (25...auto insurance premium decrease time!) and my fiance bought me a shiny new Canon Digital Rebet XT. I really like taking photographs but I honestly know nothing about photography. Im wondering if anyone has knowledge of some photo resources to teach a noob like me the basics (and then some) about digital photography or just photography in general...websites....books....etc.
I know I should probably take an intro course or something at a JC near me but Im so busy with work its not really an option at this point.
Thanks for any info!YAH! I knew you'd be jealous

I think the "Joy of Digital Photography" was recently published. Lots of amateur photogs got their footing with the original "Joy of" books and this one is as good as those. You could probably find it cheap on eBay or Amazon.
