| Copying a GIF onto a GIF: Changes colour
Ive got two GIF images. Im trying to copy the one GIF image onto the other one by copy and paste. But everytime I do that, the image which is being pasted, changes colour. I dont know why...?
Maybe its something to so with the fact they are GIF images?

Can you e-mail me both and let me know which one you're trying to put onto the other?
Check your PM.

Hi Jimmy!
Hopefully you've got it all sorted by now, but if not ~ you may wish to check and see how many colours the gif you are pasting into is saved with; for example, if it only possesses 5 colours in it's palette, then any colour you introduce into it is going to have to show up as one of those five colours.

GIFs have a very limited color palette. You need to do your cut and pasting within an application that will allow you to convert the images to true-color. This way combining the two together will not alter their colors. Then you can convert the combined image back to Indexed color if you want it to be a GIF or just leave it as true-color and save it as a JPG or PNG. |

Open the GIF in Photoshop for example and select in the menu: Image / Mode / RGB color |
