lost my 'actions' !

I made some custom actions and have been using them all week. Now, today I can't find them, although the ones that come with PS are still there.

I didn't explicitly save mine, but 'help' says they are automatically saved.

I tried to 'load' them but they are not in PS's action folder.

I checked all of the preset actions to see if mine are mixed up in one of these folders, but they're not there either.

Has anyone ever had this happen?? Any suggestions?

The files that contain Photoshop Actions end with an .ATN extension. Use Windows Search to search your hard drive for files that have an .ATN extension.

I searched for atn files as you suggested. I'm not finding new files.

If you don't explicitly save your actions, are they lost?
