Need Help With a logo

Hi,

Im in need of some help, i need to change a company logo and i don't have the expertise to do it. After seeing some of the stuff people have done on here id thought id ask.

the logo at the moment is

What i need is to:

1. make the pin a chrome colour.
2. get rid of that squiggly bit at the top.
3. the yellow background i want to make a bit more appealing, i want some kind of gradient to make it look 3d ish.
4. Some of the corners of the lettering are round, i need them squared off.
5. the colours and the overall design must stay the same.
