Pinnacle Ultimate V.11 cannot create finished file???

I recently purchased pinnacle studio ultimate v.11 I have edited a video that is about 8 minutes long. When I try to “Make a Movie” (create a file) of any type it will not complete the process. It starts and tells you what frame out of how many frames the project is. My project is composed of about 9,000 frames. At around 5,000 the CPU activity simply drops to 2-3% and quits working on the project. I created a shorter file that was only about 8-10 seconds with a transition and it came out fine. I believe that it has little to do with my hardware and is probably related to the pinnacle software. Has anyone ever encountered a similar problem with this software?
