Adobe, Quark, Fireworks, etc
I am new to this area, and have recently purchased a 36" wide format color printer. I am looking to use it for construction bluprints, stickers, banners, magnetics, and other promotional items for my company. Due to the printer being from the late 90's, there are only drivers available for XP and older on the Windows format and OS 8 & 9 in classic format up to 10.4 on the Mac format. In your opinion, which format should I be looking for to run this printer? Also, since I am looking for a used computer, which programs will best suit me to use this printer for its full potential? BTW the printer is a designjet2500cp.

Unless you're really familiar with OS 9 - go with Win XP.

Hey I am finally getting somewhere.......I found the menu on the printer to give me all of the internal settings. I have the IP address. I went to the add printer menu on the computer and selected the tcp/ip setting. I typed the IP for the printer and saved it. I tried to print, but still nothing..........

Didn't like Transformers growing up. I was more into Speed Racer and DBZ.
