    Angry Photoshop CS2 Problem

    Well, here is the problem.

When I create a New File. And I look at the settings.
    My RBG is set as:

Color Mode: RBG Color = 16bit

And I know it can do 32bit but it's not in the drop down box.
When I go to do gradients and other things. You can plainly
see where the gradient ends. And nothing blends well at all.

Also, when I go to "Save As". There are only 5 things to choose
from. I can't save as a .jpeg or anything.

So can somebody please try and help me.

P.S. I have uninstalled everything and deleted all the folders and
did a fresh install. And that didn't fix it.

edit: 32 bit mode is supported with the correct file types, jpeg however is not one of them. You'll need to create the "new file" as normal then under image, mode change it to 32bit mode.

Second, the reason for only 6-7 file formats is that most of the others including jpeg don't support 16bit mode, only 8bit.

As for your gradients not showing correctly, that would be another issue all together.

Yeah sorry about that. I've always used 8bit.

But I'll just post a picture of what the problem
is. As you can see in the image. You can see
each color as the gradient goes down. It's
not blended at all. As you can see. I even
pointed out where the gradient ends.

And it used to blend just perfectly.

Can you take a bigger screen shot or make a bigger pic, because that looks fine to me. You might need to recalibrate your monitor or update your drivers.

Yeah, I was thinking it may be my monitor.
How do I go by fixing it?

And here is a bigger pic.

Are you viewing the image at a zoom level of 100%. That's the only way to accurately see a gradient.
