PHOTOSHOP CS problem!

I would be greatful if someone could help me please, on 2 issues. I'm currently working off Photoshop CS (OS-Panther) - very old I know!

1. I suddenly cannot use the type tool (can't type anything) - even simple things like naming a folder.

2. I used to be able to enlarge an open photoshop image by clicking apple/command + nothing happens now when I do, no enlargement at all.

I've probably done something unknowingly, and cannot find any answers in the 'help' section of Photoshop.

Start Photoshop and immediately hold down CTRL+ALT+SHIFT (or Command+Option+Shift on an Apple). You get a dialog box asking if you want to delete your Photoshop settings file. Click yes.

There is no guaranty this will fix your issues. But it often can fix odd problems like these. And it won't hurt anything to try.
