| Contest: Logo and Banner design Cash Prize!!
Hello Timo'ers,
I have been away from TIMO for a bit of time but when this need came up I immediately thought of TIMO. I have a website I am investing in and need a good graphic designer for. The Contest
You will be paid $75 - 100 dollars right before Christmas if I use your designs. If I do not use them you will be paid $25 dollars just for winning the contest.
The contest starts right now and ends the 20th of December 2008 (I reserve the right to end the contest early due to already seeing a design I can not live without, so don't put it off!!)
I have already successfully held one of these contests and OuTpatient (the winner) was successfully paid in a timely manner. Here---> CASH PRIZE for good design!!
If you are going to attempt to work on this project please inform me of it through this thread, that does three things:
1) lets me know that some people are interested at the task at hand
2) bumps the thread so others can see your work!! (might even promote future business.)
3) Time stamps the thread. If there is a tie-breaker and I just can't decide a clear winner, I will more-than-likely go with the person who has been working on it the longest.
The Site:
The site is called NoGunsNoMoney.com. The main premise is, Concealed Handgun Licensed people are not allowed in certain business' with their weapon. If the business has a "no guns" sign in the window we as shoppers will give them "no money" ( it really is that simple ).
*warning* - guns are often associated with violence. This is not what we are looking for. In fact, Be very careful of having any type of gun "firing" or have the appearance of firing a projectile. It will have to be tactfully done if you try to pull this off. This does not mean you need to make it look peaceful either but definitely not threatening.
It will be a company logo and a forum banner that you will be creating. If you want more information just ask. I do not want to hinder your creativity anymore than I already have so have fun and good luck.

bump before bed. If i dont get at least a post between now and tomorrow morning I will take it as an appropriate sign that the graphic design interest has died at TIMO and try a business instead. I thought I would give a chance to TIMO first as it worked out so well last time. |

I think it's the fact that people don't want to use up their time when there's a good chance they aren't going to get chosen. And in many cases, it isn't worth the $25, or perhaps even the $75-100 if they win.
Good luck elsewhere though..

There are still Graphic Designers on here, just sometimes it takes a bit for them to find the thread.
I'm not good at stuff like this, or I'd try to submit something.
But don't let your hope/faith in TechIMO die. |

Good luck elsewhere though.. | Hmmm, that is a bummer. I can pay a company $100 dollars to do 3 designs by two different people. The 75-100 dollars is a great price. The 25$ is just a guarantee.
I love Techimo, I love Rob and all the guys and honestly, this was my first real forum that I would constantly come back to for any of my computer needs. I am typing from a linux computer right now because of this forum. So I wanted to offer the users here a quick buck first to show my appreciation. I will stick to my deal of waiting till the morning to see if anyone stands up but then I will most likely go to a company and pay a pro to do it.
Look how fast my last offer got answered... OuT got it done in less than a day. really probably an hour or two (if you take away wait time for us to answer ) . $50/per hour is not a bad deal... Buuuuuut, then again, if I could do it I would not be here huh.
If I could only keep a site up as long as Rob and the guys have I will be proud of myself. Well done TechIMO, well done. |
