need slideshow for web

Hello friends and patrons of TechIMO,

I am looking for html or java slideshow script that I don't have to specify every photo but can just point to the entire contents of a directory..?

I would love to create the slideshows as swf but no joy in finding an app to create them in Linux - I tried Openoffice's export to swf and it seemed to work but the output was broken.

I created a little site for our biker group (my first one ever so yeah I know it's a little hoaky) BFC-SFVC Main I created it using NVU on Linux, currently running the server out of our home on OpenSuse 11.1
