Porsche TURBO logo scan/file for embroidery use.
I am new here, and would appreciate it if someone can elp me with this logo problem I am having.
OK. here it is: I am working with a colleague of mine on converting Porsche car from Carrera to Turbo. Among the things we were hoping to do was to change the entire carpet of the car to the type used in Porsche Turbo.
Now the Turbo has logo/sign TURBO on the carpet at front and back side of the said carpet. We contacted a European carpet maker/emboridery shop. They were happy to do the carpet, at fraction of cost of the genuine Porsche one, but when it came to having TURBO logo on the carpet, they replied:
"The digital files available for Porsche decals are not suitable for embroidery (because the embroidery files also require information on the number and position of stitches). We have not found anybody that already has the OEM Porsche files for embroidery. Based on a scan of the logo (eg. jpg or bmp file) they can be made. Please let us know if you would like to go thru this. If so please send us a clean scan of the logo "TURBO" (eg. jpg or bmp file), and we will do the file you need (Turbo)."
Please help if anyone here know how to go about this! Almost lost here as to tech issues. Know much about mechanics, but not so when comes to hi tech stuff...
Thank you all for any feed back, help, support.
This is the type of logo for Turbo (disregard background - this is the only one I found on the web).

Solution found.
Yah right. Well I thought - probably wrong in that - this is the place where I can find help with this seemingly minor issue - then again there was no help. Found it outside of this forum. Good luck to all. Very best.

Well, there are some people on these forums who might know a thing or two about this, but its not what the site is geared to at all. In any case, one of them may have stumbled on your thread at a later date if you didnt find your answer already.
Cheers
PS: What you are doing is, of course, not illegal in any way, but me thinks that there is a little bit of a self-integrity/brazency (thats not a word I know but brazen is
) issue going on here
or, at least in your colleague

Regardless of wherever you found "help" for your inquiry, I will tell you upfront that you are likely going to need a rather high resolution representation of the turbo graphic. A vector graphic would probably be the best route so resizing for reproduction is more straightfoward. For examples of vector graphics:
Porsche Logo (hi res) - TechIMO Photo Gallery
Ferrari Logo (hi res) - TechIMO Photo Gallery
OuTpaTienT, a senior member here at TechIMO, did those graphics using Adobe Illustrator. If you are willing to pay for the graphics work, he or something else around here might toss together a turbo logo in Illustrator or similar for your project.Robert Richmond | Infinite perceptions. One reality.

Thanks RobRich - this is what one guy did today, simply scanning the turbo logo he had in his office - dont know if its Hi-Res enough for the purpose.
As to the Porsche sign/logo you kindly pinted to, its not what we need - though must say its super crisp/high clarity compared to the one here. Thnx again.
