HELP- Saving Pictures to a CD
Hi there. I uploaded pictures from my SD camera card to a CD and burned them on. The items did burn on, but when I click on the CD in the My Computer folder, it says there are 0 objects on this disc. It's a 700 MB disc and I burned 400 something MB work of pics on it, and under the My Computer folder it says there are only 162 MB left on the disc.... so obviously the files saved onto the disc, but why can I not see them? How on earth do I get to them? I appreciate the help. Thanks.

Hi, Kristin:
Welcome to TechIMO.
We can't tell you what you did wrong if you don't tell us what you did. What program are you using to burn pictures to the CD? Also, please provide your operating system.

yeah, good thinking. sorry i'm new to this. I have Windows Vista. I'm not sure what program I used to burn it, but I'll explain to you exactly what I did in hopes that you can tell me.....
What I did was I inserted the blank disc and I waited until the window popped up that asked what I wanted to do with the disc and I clicked on "burn files to disc" so a small window popped up that said "preparing disc for burn", then a new window showed up that was the blank disc (as if I would have clicked on it from the my computer folder). Then I opened my SD card and selected all the pictures and clicked copy then clicked into the blank disc folder and right clicked there and hit paste. All of the pictures then copied into the folder (it was like 200 something pictures so it took a few minutes) but they all showed up. There was no option in the top of the screen that said to burn files to disc, so I assumed they did burn to the disc. I went into the file menu and went to close, because the files were there in the folder, and saved obviously because there was no burn option (it was there but it was not in color, so it appeared that they already burned). But when I went to click on the disc after closing the folder, the pictures did appear. But now I removed the disc and when I went to reinsert it a few minutes later the pictures are not showing up, but the disc does has information saved onto it because it's a 700MB disc and there are only 162MB that are left empty on the disc.

OK... put the disc back in, then double click the My Computer icon on the Desktop. Right click on your CD Burner, and select Explore.
