The right graphics card
Ok, I have a compaq presario with a pentium 4 2.5 ghz processor, 512 mb ram. Everything in the computer is stock with what ever the manufactuer put in it. Im wanting to play battlefield 2142 and i need to know which geforce graphics card would be compatible with my computer. I know i need more ram and have it on the way, about a gigs worth. I just need a graphics card for now that will allow me to play it til i am able to buy a new pc. Also, my pc uses ddr ram, if that helps any.

If you could give us the model number, 'Compact Presario XXXX'. As long as it is not a laptop should be a ble to sort out a gpu upgrade...

Well, I got some bad news for you.....
Firstly that memory you ordered wont work as the motherboard only supports upto 1gb.....
Second as far as expansion slots go all it appears to have is PCI which will really limit your choices to low-end and expensive....
This is the best PCI card you can buy...
