Computer controlled Camera
I am asking if it is possible to control a Kodak Z980 using a computer (pc, mac) I know it is possible with Cannon camera's. But i don't have a cannon... see my issue.

Look for drivers for your specific model, i'm not sure about generic camera control software but it would have to support the specs/features of your camera and interface with its firmware so your gonna have a tough time doing that unless you program it yourself - I've used 360 degree photography software from ortery before but it only supported Cannon/Olympus cams - you could try looking into that, most of that software is freely available as it is on ortery's site - check their hardware compatibility lists.
-oops old post sry for the bump lol.

"...are all hot shoe flash units universal size..."
As far as 35mm cams yes, but Kodak has been around long enough not to use an industry standard term 'Hot Shoe' without it being the 'standard' size:◄ it is what it is ►
