What software do you recommend for youtube videos on a budget?

    I seek the advice here.

What would you advise I make flashy youtube videos with?

Usually Windows movie maker will do the job nicely. But I have used Sony Vegas before. It has a learning curve and there are help videos on Sony Vegas on YouTube though.

    how much of a budget?

Pinnacle Studio HD – HD video editing and sharing for anyone

(this is the one I just bought recently in the last couple/few weeks), Video Editing Software – Corel VideoStudio Pro X4

I had a good sale deal on it, and picked it up, of course it now sells for $10 less than I paid which means most likely their close to releasing the next version of it soon.

The 3D glasses they include are actual glasses, cheaper plastic folding frame ones, not some cardboard 3D ones, but actual Red & Blue lens 3D glasses... Though more of a Gimmick than anything (any 3D stuff currently is), but it was kind of cool, even though that old school style 3D never seems to work too well with me, I see little if any difference from my normal vision. Occasionally if the image is just right it does have a 3D hologram look, but most of the "colors" of the image are ruined since its red and blue lenses...

Sony Vegas is a good one too, though not sure on the price.

for the lower spectrum pricing, Corel's product isn't too bad, but if I had a choice and $100 or so on hand at the time, I would of gotten Pinnacle Studio 15 HD Ultimate instead, or Cyberlinks Power Director 9 (top end Ultra 64 version).

PowerDirector 9 - World 1st 64-bit consumer video editing software

Just that I got a good deal on the Corel stuff first.

Best results I've had so far is with Sony Vegas for editing, and After Effects for mastering/effects.
Both are very powerful tools, and take time to learn. But they are amazing if you know how to work them.
